Commercial Licence Policy
This suggested licence policy should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before the marketplace begins accepting payments.
1. Licence grant
A purchased licence grants the customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the named product according to the selected licence tier.
2. Licence tiers
- Single Journal: one journal installation or journal context.
- Sitewide: all journals hosted within one OJS installation controlled by the customer.
- Agency: up to ten client installations managed by the purchasing agency.
3. Updates and support
Each new licence includes 12 months of updates and standard product support. Renewal is optional and does not remove the right to continue using the last version obtained during the active period.
4. Restrictions
Customers may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish or share source packages or licence credentials. A licence does not transfer ownership of the software.
5. Backups and compatibility
Customers must create verified backups before installation or upgrade. Compatibility is limited to the OJS and server versions listed for the purchased product.
