Terms of Sale and Service
Draft commercial terms for the proposed GratifyOJS marketplace. Legal review is recommended before launch.
1. Orders and payment
Orders become active after payment confirmation or an approved institutional purchase arrangement. Prices are displayed in United States dollars unless stated otherwise.
2. Digital delivery
Digital products are delivered through an approved download or customer portal. Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact and technical information.
3. Refunds
Because products are digital, refund requests should be assessed before download or licence activation. Verified product defects that cannot be corrected within the stated support scope may qualify for a remedy.
4. Services
Installation, customisation, migration, troubleshooting and development services require an agreed scope. Work outside the approved scope may require a revised quotation.
5. Managed hosting
Hosting plans renew monthly or annually according to the selected billing cycle. Resource limits, included journal slots, backup retention and support levels are defined on the hosting page or final quotation. Premium plugin and theme licences included with a hosting plan remain valid while the hosting subscription is active.
Customers remain responsible for journal content, editorial decisions, user permissions, lawful use, domain renewal and third-party charges such as DOI registration. GratifyOJS may schedule maintenance, security updates or emergency interventions where required to protect the service.
6. Liability
Customers using self-hosted products are responsible for their own server administration, backups and security. For managed hosting, GratifyOJS provides the backup and security services stated in the selected plan. Liability should be limited to the amount paid for the affected product or service, subject to applicable law.
